HAIR CARE: WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF YOUR HAIR? HOW MUCH DO YOU SPEND ON HAIR CARE PRODUCTS?

Over the many years that I have tried the great variety of hair care products (from the cheapest to the top brands), I have discovered they are all based on the same basic ingredients. Going to the hairdresser was quite a costly event. I used to buy all the products I thought that I needed in order to get the best out of my new chemically treated hair. My hair was starting to look like straw, dull and lifeless. I am sure you all have had this experience. All I was doing however was adding more and more chemicals which, in turn caused more and more damage. This led me to experiment with different foods on my hair in an attempt to regain condition and to make it look and feel alive again. If you do use chemicals to colour or perm your hair, you will need to balance this by nourishing it with your own kitchen formulas, not by using more chemicals. Get to know your own hair type and be creative. Make your own cost effective products. The recipes below are only a guide line to help you get started with creating your own hair care products.
